The Lakes Charity Classic Vehicle Show is an annual event for the whole family in the English Lake District where you will see hundreds of Classic Vehicles, as well as some fantastic family-friendly trade stands, attractions, entertainment and games – and a diverse range of local caterers – a great way to spend Fathers Day!
The event is scheduled for Sunday 16th June 2024, located at the Staveley Recreation Ground, which is between Windermere and Kendal in Cumbria, UK. The new venue is smaller than our previous Grasmere location, so we are limiting the number of classic vehicles to 200, so entry fo Classic Vehicles is therefore available on a first come first served basis.
Entry Price for Classic Vehicles remains at £7 per vehicle, if paid in advance, which also allows 2 people into the Show. Entry on the day (if available) will be £10 per vehicle.
Entry Prices to the Show for the General Public
Gates open to the public at 10.30am – the show closes at 4pm. Payment for the general public is taken at the entry gates on the day. Card payment is advised, however there are cash machines available within Staveley village.

This year we are re-locating out event to Staveley Recreation Ground, which is on the Main Street in Staveley village between Windermere and Kendal. Sat Nav location for the new location is LA8 9LN.

Public parking is available in the Old Cricket Field on Back Lane in Staveley, and will be free of charge. Please follow event signage on approach to Staveley, Nr Kendal

Disabled parking is available onsite at the Staveley Recreation Ground.
Overnight Camping
There are a select few overnight camping spaces available on the Recreation Ground for the night before the Classic Vehicle Show. Advance booking is required and we are charging £20 per vehicle. There are no toilets available onsite , or running water. Anyone camping must arrive between 1pm – 5pm on Saturday 17th June 2023. The Lakes Charity Classic Vehicle Show is organized by the Windermere & Ambleside Lions Club.
All proceeds from our event are donated to worthwhile local charitable causes.
Since its inception this Lions event has grown year on year and has attracted some magnificent vehicles, lots of visitors and has helped to raise thousands of pounds for some very worthwhile local charities.
We encourage you to bring the family along for this fun-filled day and see some magnificent classic cars, motor bikes, caravans, trucks and tractors.
On arrival visitors will be given a score sheet to vote for your favourite vehicle across a number of categories – and prizes are awarded based on the public vote
